Second Roll with My Olympus XA

posted in: Photography | 0

In April, I posted about the Olympus XA I bought and the results from the first roll I had taken with it. I was quite pleased with the results and was looking forward to shooting with it again.

During the first half of May, I went out on 3 occasions with the XA loaded with Holga 400. I was curious to see what black and white photos would look like with the XA and, once again, I was pleased with the results.

The first outing was a walk along East Passyunk Avenue. It was shortly after Holly and I passed our 2 week mark after our 2nd vaccination so we stopped at Second District Brewing along the way home.

I’m still getting used to the rangefinder patch so some of the pictures are out of focus. The ones that are in focus look great.

I went out again just for a short walk around our neighborhood. It seems like I was getting more comfortable with the rangefinder patch and had fewer focusing issues with the rest of the roll.

I finished the roll on another walk to and from East Passyunk Avenue for one of our recent brunch outings at Le Virtù.

So far, I have really enjoyed shooting with the Olympus XA and am glad the results have been mostly good. I have no regrets adding this to my camera collection.
