When I lived in Philadelphia previously, I spent a fair amount of time in the Chestnut Hill section of the city. However, since moving back, I have been there only a couple of times despite it being a fairly easy train ride away.
At the end of April, I had the opportunity to go back for a work-related event at the Sugar Load Campus at Chestnut Hill College. The event was a great professional experience, and I lingered in the area afterward until Holly was able to join me early in the evening for a beer at Chestnut Hill Brewing Company and dinner at Cin Cin.
In the time between the end of my work event and Holly’s arrival, I went to the Woodmere Art Museum and then walked along Germantown Avenue to take some pictures. It was a gray day, but I was able to get some decent photos. I had never been to the Woodmere Art Museum before and enjoyed their exhibitions, especially the Charles Santore Exhibition. Santore was born in Philadelphia and worked as a commercial illustrator and the exhibition included some of his book illustrations and commercial work such as for the TV Guide.
When I first arrived at the museum, I took pictures of some of the outdoor sculptures. I had my Canon EOS Rebel 2000 with a 50mm prime lens with me and shot with Fujifilm Superia X-Tra 400.

Inside the museum was a little dark, but I was able to get some interesting shots.
By the time I was done in the museum, I had only a few shots left so wasn’t able to capture much from my walk along Germantown Avenue, but I was able to take one final picture at St. Martin’s Train Station.
If the weather had been nicer, I might have taken some pictures on the Sugar Load Campus. I did have another roll of film with me so I could have taken more photos, but I was feeling a bit discouraged by the gray day and was content to simply finish the roll I had in my camera.
