Olympus XA with Kodak Color Plus

posted in: Photography | 0

Early in November, I finished a roll of Kodak Color Plus taken with my Olympus XA. I already posted some of those photos in my Fall Color 2021 post, but I wanted to share the other photos as well.

I shot most of the roll while Holly and I were on our Staycation at the end of October. As part of our Staycation, we attended the Philadelphia Film Festival which had screening at 2 theaters, one in Center City and one in Old City. The theater in Center City is owned by the Philadelphia Film Society which runs the festival.

We walked to the theaters which provided opportunities for taking pictures. Since it was the end of October, I took a few photos of Halloween decorations.

The fall color pictures I posted earlier from the Olympus XA were all taken at The Woodlands. I had also tried to find some fall color in the city.

I also tried to capture a sunset both on the side of our building and out our window.

I shot the rest of the roll while wandering around the city between movies and our other Staycation activities.

I really like shooting with the Olympus XA and am usually pleased with the results, but I still haven’t mastered focusing with it. The focusing lever has a short throw, and I find precision to be difficult.
