Water Reflection outside the Barnes Foundation

Minolta XE with Ilford Delta

Early in November, I got a roll of Ilford Delta 400 that I had shot with my Minolta XE developed. I shot the roll over the course of a few different outings. One was just a general walk around the city. These date from mid-October so there is a touch of autumn and Halloween.

I also had the Minolta with me on the day of our October Staycation when Holly and I went to the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Barnes Foundation.

I tried taking a couple of pictures inside the Philadelphia Museum of Art but it was generally too dark. I wasn’t able to shoot at a fast enough shutter speed for handheld photos. The couple I took before deciding it was too dark turned out a little blurry.

I had much better luck with the pictures I took outside the PMA and the Barnes.

I took 1 more photo after our museum visits of the building construction right next to the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul.

I shot the rest of the roll on a walk we had taken to West Philadelphia.

Our ultimate goal was to go to The Woodlands which is a scenic cemetery. I also had my Olympus XA with me and already posted those pictures in my Fall Color 2021 post.

Unfortunately, a few are a little out of focus.

I finished the roll on our way back from The Woodlands.

Partway through our visit to The Woodlands, the power switch on my Minolta XE broke. Luckily, it broke in the on position. I’m not sure there’s a way I can fix it, but since it’s always on, I plan on just taking the batteries out when I’m not using it. I doubt that it being on but not being used would drain the batteries that much, but taking them out is easy enough.

My Minolta XE is one of my favorite cameras and Ilford Delta is a great film so it was a good combination.
