Toward the middle of October, Holly and I went for a walk on a lovely autumn day. I took along my Nikon Z fc fitted with my Nikkor 18-140mm f/3.5-6.3 lens. As we often like to do, we went to the Schuylkill River Trail.
I started our stroll by taking some close-up photos of autumn leaves and flowers with a couple bees doing their bee thing.
Although we walk the trail often, I always enjoy taking photos there even if they are similar to other photos I’ve taken. And, sometimes, I find something different to photograph.
As has been my tendency lately, I tried to take some pictures with people in them.
On our way home, we walked through Fitler Square where I took just a few more photos. For my picture of the fountain, I wanted to slow my shutter speed to better capture the flowing water. I was able to shoot at 1/16th of a second without a tripod and didn’t get any noticeable camera shake. The Nikon Z fc does not have built-in image stabilization, although the lens does. I was happy I was able to get this shot.
After a hot summer when I didn’t get out as often as I would have liked, I was happy to get to fall and get out shooting somewhat frequently again.
