One day early in December, Holly and I went for a walk to Philadelphia’s City Hall to check out the city’s annual Christmas displays. Every year, they put up a big Christmas tree, set up an ice skating rink, and have various vendors selling holiday goods, among other things. Across the street, in Love Park, there’s a Christmas Village with additional vendors.
I had my Flexaret Automat VII with me loaded with Ilford FP4 Plus. Although I take a lot of Christmas photos in color, I also like taking some in black and white since it’s an unexpected take on the holiday festivities.
The first 2 pictures I took at City Hall were a little out of focus. I think that was partly due to having not used the Flexaret in a while and partly due to it being crowded. I tried to be quick with my picture taking and may not have been as precise as I needed to be.

While we were at City Hall, I took the opportunity to take a picture of Claes Oldenburg’s Clothespin across the street.

I finished the roll with a couple pictures of Hanukkah decorations in our neighborhood.

And a couple of construction photos.

I had another camera with me on our outing to City Hall and will post about that sometime soon.
